Matthew Foley

“I enjoy problem solving in a creative and artistic way to produce architecture that is modest, delightful and questions the way we live.”

Architectural Assistant

B. Design (Architecture) with distinction - University of Newcastle
B. Education (Mathematics) - University of Sydney

After 14 enjoyable years as a Maths teacher in NSW and Japan, Matthew took the opportunity to fulfil a lifelong ambition to retrain as an Architect. A recent graduate from the University of Newcastle, Matthew draws upon past professional experience, life experience and technical skills to contribute positively to the SHAC team. While a Masters of Architecture is a future ambition, Matthew is enjoying collaborating with other SHAC team members on a full spectrum of architectural projects.

Matthew draws inspiration from nature. He will often be found in his spare time bush walking and gardening with his family.
