Myles Taylor

““At its very core, the study of architecture uses fundamentals that are drawn from nature and the world surrounding it, and affect every stage of life.””

Architectural Technician / BIM Manager

Diploma of Building Design – TAFE NSW
Diploma of Management – Victoria University
Certified Archicad BIM Manager

Myles initially started training in Civil Engineering before switching to drafting and architecture. He is experienced in a range of CAD software and is a talented documentation specialist with a perfectionist streak who constantly strives for clarity, accuracy and efficiency with the end goal of providing the client and builder with a thorough set of documents.

He has worked on major education, health and multi residential projects for SHAC and is generous with his time, assisting the team with their many and varied IT and CAD related questions and streamlining IT processes in the office.

Myles feels privileged to be able to frame the way others see the world through architecture. He is inspired by architect Glenn Murcutt, who epitomises “well thought out and thoroughly planned architecture with extreme attention to detail, paying attention to both form and function.” These principles and values inform Myles in his practice as an architectural technician here at SHAC.

In his downtime Myles often researches design, coding and the latest CAD software. On weekends, Myles loves to get outdoors and go camping up the coast with friends and family. He also throws a great dinner party and enjoys getting the whole family involved in a competitive game of 500.
