Lindfield Learning Village - UTS Ku-ring-gai Campus Masterplan

SHAC was asked by the NSW Department of Education (DoE) to provide a masterplan for the re-purposing of the existing University of Technology Sydney Ku-ring-gai / Lindfield Campus into a practical and cost effective design to deliver a unique, quality education setting for K - 12 students incorporating stimulating design principles in an inspiring learning environment within its $60 Million budget for the project.

Focusing on an anaylsis of the existing functional areas, site opportunities and constraints, providing a framework for schools to meet proposed student population needs as well as future projections, SHAC, working closely with the School Director and Regional DoE Director, delivered a pathway feasibility maserplan for the old Tech University into a Innovative Learning Environment.

As the existing building footprint area was in excess of estimated immediate needs, SHAC proposed a range of supporting and allied education and community uses, including:

- Intensive English College (IEC)

- A Preschool and OSHC Facility

- Research PhD Student Facility

- Additional carparking, bus bays, drop offs and transport links

- After hours community use of Auditoriums, Sports Hall & shared facilities
