Jack Reading

“I love that architecture is an art form, a way of expression within the world that can inspire.”

Architectural Assistant

B. Design (Architecture) – University of Newcastle

Jack joined SHAC after finishing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Newcastle in 2019. He currently contributes to several regional education projects and local residential projects. Jack loves making hand models that people can begin to visualise and engage with, then taking this ideation into reality.

Jack has travelled to Denmark to experience and be inspired by Scandinavian design, especially projects focussing on adaptive reuse, landscape and residential architecture.

What Jack likes most about SHAC is the supportive workplace: where collaboration is encouraged and where we all work together to make the projects we engage with a reality. In his downtime, Jack can be found gardening, at a local bookstore or at the beach.
