New 132/11kV Zone Substation located close to the Charlestown urban centre. Enclosed switch building transformer bays and equipment yard.
Innovative solutions incorporated into the project include a split level building design to suit the narrow sloping site and extensive use of anodised
aluminium mesh screening for both visual effect and shading. The materials and finishes selections are based on a building life of fifty years
with minimal maintenance.
