“I am fascinated by how a series of elements can come together to forge a sense of place and evoke conversations about design, tradition, functionality, and culture.”

Architectural Designer

B. Design (Architecture) (Dist.) – University of Newcastle

Meg joined SHAC after completing a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Newcastle and works as an Architectural Designer. She began her career at SHAC as an Interior Designer, a role that developed her strong understanding of colour, texture and form, and how these elements transform an architectural shell into purposeful, engaging space. Transitioning into architectural practice, Meg has built a solid foundation in balancing form and function while refining her CAD skills to accurately deliver design intent. She has developed a particular interest in masterplanning, considering projects holistically from site to urban scale, and exploring how architecture can foster connection, activation and long-term growth within communities.

With a background in painting and a family history of artisanship, Meg brings a tactile, considered approach to design. Principles of composition, depth, light and materiality inform her work, ensuring spaces are expressive, grounded in context, and responsive to both functional and emotional needs.

Meg values the collaborative culture at SHAC, where open exchange of ideas and collective problem-solving strengthen design outcomes. Travel has further shaped her perspective, broadening her understanding of how architecture influences people and place across different cultural contexts.
